I was sick and you visited me. I tell you, whenever you did this for one of the least important of these followers of mine, you did it for me! Mathew 25: 36 & 40

Keeping these words in mind we used to move to visit the sick persons in every Friday afternoon for one hour (4:00PM -5:00PM). We gather at the Sacred Heart Church compound approximately at 03:30 PM and then move to Salmaniya Hospital (SMC) at 3:45 PM, after a personnel prayer in the Adoration Chapel and a small group prayer in front of Grotto. As per directions of the Leader, we divide our group into different subgroups, to cover the area as much as possible and start visiting at 4:00PM. We target mainly Indian patients as we have limited time and resources.

We note down the names of patients who need care and prayer. The team Leader collects the names and posts in the Hospital Ministry group. These names announce before 7:00PM Malayalam Mass requesting other’s intersession prayer. We remember these names and pray daily during our family/personnel prayer. Some members of our team visit on other days as well, for further follow-ups in case required. We also assist financially in case an emergency arises, with the permission & support of our Spiritual Director, and give legal assistance by liaising with our contacts at the Indian Embassy and other charitable organizations.

Monthly we arrange a Prayer Meeting in one of the classrooms at 3:00PM. That prayer meeting starts with Rosary and ends with discussions/valuable suggestions from fellow members. We ask our Lord through the intercession of Mother Mary to help us to continue this mission.
